Business cards offer a lasting impression. Even in todays digital marketplace business cards are an essential tool to remind prospective connections who you are, what you do, and how you can be contacted. They provide a physical representation of your business.

    Design Description

Branding is the key to keeping a business looking put together. After a logo, the business card is the starting point for any successful branding project. Whether a logo already exists or one is needed, Pinomaki Design has the expertise to communicate the brand successfully in this small space.

    Client

Concierge Cleaning Services CEO wanted his clients to think of janitorial services in a new way. Business professionals want like-minded businesses to work with. The business suit is out of character for a janitorial company, and that was the point. The vision was to communicate the most professional approach to the least favorable job. • Web Design

Websites can be a perfect communication method. The site can be a revenue source, provide education, offer information, and be a teaching tool. It will all depend on the goals of the client. Perhaps its just to make the phone ring.

    Design Description

Pinomaki Design concentrates on the look, feel, and function of the site, then partners with the best programmers in today’s digital world to make it happen. This way our clients receive the best brand experience that can equate into a positive return on their investment.

    Client

The Diocese of San Diego’s created a scholarship program that honored the late Most Reverend Bishop Flores and his mission of furthering catholic education to all students. This site allowed parents to apply for scholarships and see the potential impact on young lives. It also doubled as a fundraising opportunity for potential donors to get involved as well as providing further opportunities in education. With home page slider and video, the site is active and refreshingly informative. The primary colors and geometric shape help focus on young educational opportunities and growth for catholic families. Visit the site for yourself at www.bishopfloresscholars.org
  • Tradeshow

Get noticed in a crowed. Trade shows are the place to show off what a business does for a select market segment. Pinomaki Design research ensures that businesses standout from their competition, producing effective communication and a point of contact that can ensure success.

    Design Description

With a wealth of knowledge in large scale graphics, outdoor venue and traffic flow patterns you can be sure Pinomaki Design can help businesses get the attention they desire.

    Client

    • The Cat Rental Store® (Finning Cat® Canada) who needed to standout at a premier tradeshow. This design features the personal professional experience their clients will receive when working with them. Showcasing the multiple business facets that come in industrial projects, it was important to let their customers know they cover it all.
  • Stationery

To continue the brand experience, you need to ensure all touch points in a customers’ experience are uniform. Every time you make contact with a customer your company brand is put to the test. This will ensure that there is no confusion on who the message is coming from.

    Design

The logo features four boxes with bright colors that was easy and fun, with clean lines communicating structure and organization. The font is clear and provides a modern touch throughout. Everything is in its place. The two option logo allows for more flexibility for the company and the solid line anchored at the bottom gives strength and a foundation that provides control.

    Client

This organizing company needed to communicate organization with style. They also needed a marketing strategy to get the business off and running quickly. Pinomaki Design developed a four prong system that fit with the logo and allowed them to scale in the future. While the colors matched the up-beat personality of the owner, it still wasn’t juvenile and is gender neutral. • Collateral Handouts

Print’s not dead. All sales people like to have leave behinds and worksheets to help sell products. The key is to have them match the overall branding of the company. As individual pieces that can get separated from the rest. Each sheet should be branded in a way that there is no doubt what company they represent and contain contact information.

    Design

Print has its own set of unique design challenges. Ensuring the proper resolution of images and format type is essential for quality print collateral. These single sided handouts use the same brand colors and formatting to make finding the information easy and knowing the pertinent details upon a quick glance. All print materials follow the same structural frame work between handouts, print ads, digital ads and brochures to ensure brand consistency.

    Client

Ness Turf is a Hawaii based company that specializes in golf course maintenance equipment. While golf is a leisure sport we wanted to communicate that they are tough on the job and they respond quickly to their clients needs and requests. • Innovative Design

When the client has a laundry list of things they want one piece to do, Pinomaki Design embraces that challenge. Form and function are always critical to a successful design piece. This yearly conference program needed to feature the city, provide a schedule of events, show location description and directions for a three-day event that was in a format that wasn’t too bulky and had an upscale feel.

    Design

Information design is vital for event participants as well as corporate communication. This tri-fold, three-day event program had an additional challenge, quantity. Only producing 100 books that have the look and feel of a leather bound satchel could be pricy. That’s where ingenuity came into play. Print design is a specialty of Pinomaki Design. Knowing printing press size, digital print requirements, and bindery production allowed this 18 page book with map to be a huge success. The convenience of its size as well as the organization of the materials allowed all participants at the conference to be at ease.

    Client

The LAI conference rotates annually to locations around the world. It was important that all the conference information be contained in one easy to access, read, and carry program for each participant.
  • Campaign

Marketing campaigns have a multi-layer approach. This is to ensure that you reach customers from different media. They include web banner ads, digital re-marketing, social media, print ads, flyers, brochures, billboards, folders and books. The key to a successful campaign is to ensure all pieces have a universal brand. The theme should appeal to the target audience, grab their attention and persuade them to take action.

    Design

Tri-fold and double fold brochures can be a less expensive alternative. This piece had a universal theme with a key graphical image. This image provided the color pallet that would be used throughout the rest of all the marketing pieces. Interlocking of the main image into the supporting graphic elements gives a sense of inclusion. The image selection contributes to the need to take action.

    Client

The Annual Catholic Appeal is a yearly program that requests pledges to be made to parishioners local parishes. The offerings gathered are essential to the success of the mission of the Diocese of San Diego.
  • Outdoor Design

Some campaigns are designed to communicate or educate. Size and scale make a difference and can lead to innovative solutions.

    Design

To encourage participation in something that is not mandatory can create a unique opportunity. This campaign elevated participation into an honor. Water Ambassadors recognized homes that were conserving water and hanging door hangers to encourage others to participate and receive recognition on a job well done.

    Client

The Otay Water District was mandated by the State of California to reduce water consumption by its constituents. This campaign program used the reward method to encourage participation.
  • Brochures

To communicate a big or vitally important idea, the size of a printed piece makes a difference. This allows for larger images to create a bigger sense of urgency or passion in what is trying to be communicated.

    Design

Caterpillar® dealerships globally have branding standards. Its import to match those brand standards to take advantage of corporate level marketing paid for on behalf of all dealerships. The overall brand strategy was to incorporate global branding with a unique flare for the territory which this dealership covers. Using images that speak directly to that territory communicates a level of understanding locally with the backing of a global brand.

    Client

The Hawthorne Cat® dealerships’ power division offers emergency electrical backup generation. They needed to communicate that emergency power has multiple components. Speed, efficiency and professional personal support are all components necessary to power any type and size of facility.
  • Direct Mail

Fewer direct mail pieces are going out which now makes this a more viable method of communications. Direct mail pieces are staying on desks longer while email boxes are overflowing and items are being deleted at a rapid pace. These types of materials are gaining favor once again as a lasting communication for customers of all types.

    Design

Conventions are more important than ever. This piece is design to communicate key speakers as well and industry leaders. It’s easy to reference, allowing potential attendees the ability to review and investigate options for attending with the information provided. The indexing design of each panel allows for quick glance information processing. Attendees have kept this piece and brought it to the conference to determine sessions to attend and who they would like to meet.

    Client

SMASH and SHINE are both leading conferences that are focused on the senior care industry. The economical savings of having two conferences at the same time and location is beneficial for the consumer. Senior care companies can send multiple people from different revenue sources that can lead to immediate improvement to their overall bottom line.
  • Pamphlets

Tri-fold pamphlets are an economical way to communicate ideas. They are cost effective and can be displayed easily.

    Design

A pamphlets main goal is for the consumer to come away with questions. They are designed to give just enough information that reaching out to the business is the next logical choice. The cover image communicates personal professional service while the second main image shows the benefit they are selling. Supporting graphics illustrate what they do to create value. Short descriptions allow further communication of services, then finishes with contact information.

    Client

The Cat Rental Store® has turn key services. Their typical clients would rent a single piece of equipment but didn’t think of them as the whole solution. The change in the way services and products were communicated allowed for an increase in revenue sources.
  • Responsive Design

Having a great website is ideal, but more and more sites are viewed on smart phones today. Its important that when designing the look and feel of sites they work on all devises.

    Design

This business focus was doing more with less. The website had to reflect that too. The impact of color was important to organize the thoughts that needed to be communicated. When viewing this site on a phone the color breaks immediately tell the viewer they are on a different subject mater. The clever use of spacing, text, color and images creates impact without clutter.

    Client
